Job Description Summary
The University of South Alabama’s Education Office of Contracts and Grants department is seeking to hire an AMSTI Business and Work Operating System Specialist. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.

Essential Functions
Assists in statewide work operating system management, development, and support. Assists with restructuring and maintenance of materials operations statewide and in work operating system. Participates in cross functional team meetings as needed to stay informed of AMSTI / ASIM goals in order to provide insightful development in the work operating system platform. Develops & deploys workflows and operating processes in work operating system including the related standard operating procedures guides, support documents, and procedures training for staff. Collaborates to develop and deploy materials management solutions to support manufacturing sites, distribution sites, and centralized purchasing. Collaborates to develop infrastructure (including cross-site communications) to support the role of Professional Development Coordinator and statewide registration processes. Works with sites and State Department of Education ( SDE ) to develop data reports and reporting protocols/timelines. Considers reporting needs during the development of workflows including how new processes interact with the data generated from other processes. Responds to requests for data and reports in a timely manner. Participates in monthly meeting with work Operating System representative and internal workgroups. Provides work operating system and workflow training to site staff (in person & virtual) as needed and to support new processes and/or new staff. Assists with the coordination of materials staff meetings to include logistics, assignments, and follow-up for attendees. Assists with the customization and standardization of materials kits with specific attention to how any changes will be reflected in the work operating system and impacts on existing systems and responds to support requests in work operating system including account creation, access issues, managing permissions and access for internal and external stakeholders. Conducts regular audits of platform access, membership, and function. Conducts semi-annual review of platform usage to result in clean-up and archiving of dormant and expired use cases. Monitors and supports the efficient functioning of platform automations related to statewide processes. Serves as proxy for OGAP & Work OS Liaison in university systems (Banner, Concur, & PAWS ). Assists with material site operations and logistics. Sources specialty item production partners. Supports establishing and maintaining vendor relationships including paperwork submissions to university systems. Performs other duties as assigned by OGAP & Work OS Liaison, AMSTI Business Administrator, and State Department of Education. May use a powered lift truck to move materials as needed; Regular and prompt attendance. Ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required. Related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama and three years related professional experience, possession of a valid driver’s license and maintenance of a driving record sufficient to maintain coverage under the University of South Alabama, and the ability to obtain and maintain Powered Industrial Truck Operator Certification within six months of employment. Current and Account Governance certifications or successful completion within 60 days of hire required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.
